Spinning up, getting light on the skids, tail takes off.

I went to spin it up, nice and gradual, soon as it gets light on the skids the tail takes off spinning counterclockwise (looking down.) I chop the throttle.

Does this in both rate mode and AVCS. DS760 gyro.

When I didn't have the main blades on and spun it up it seemed to behave as it should and I could drive the tail back and forth.

Even now, I spin it up and it seems to do what it should. Wish I had one of those old kitchen table rotary things I could put it on...

Which way is the tail turning? Should be CCW and up through the main rotor downwash when viewed from the right side.

I guess the servo channel is the correct direction as you have tested driving it back and forth... Is the Gyro direction correct? Is it just centering.... ie, can you hold her on a given heading in rate mode with a lot of stick? Gyro gremlins do my head in... i was trying to sort my JR770 issues last week until i performed a 'Sport' Landing on Thursday evening. :roll:

No, when I hold it in my hand it does the same thing.
I suspect you are right, the gyro is backwards, but I followed the instructions...

Gives me an idea though, says in the instructions to move the stick in a particular direction if the servo is mounted upside down. Maybe the directions are wrong, I've already found one mistake in there, maybe this is #2
