I just realized that after a good work out on the sim, I fly one of the planks on it to relax. :)

It is relaxing when you don't have to "be on it" every second.
I've tried sitting in a deck chair while hovering around the garden, but I can't get any "english" on it.

I love our EasyStar for some relaxation. Sit in a lawn chair and fly....hand it off to someone...have a conversation....catch some thermals.
Heli Yea!

Also, I have a couple of 2CH foamies. I can take a friend w/o any expiecence piloting anything, and I can relax knowing he wont break it. And to fly myself is relaxing no brains required 2CH fun! He"s getting the hang of it now, he finally figured out you don't need to push the sticks all the way!

Boy all this recent plane talk is gettin me interested. Might have to put a plank on my want list.

It is already on my wish list, but I can't decide what to get. I have several in my workshop, which are all nitro, around 60 size, but I really can't be bothered with the noise and mess any more. My Belt is so easy, I want an electric plank that is fully aerobatic, yet stable enough to be relaxing, that I can just plonk on the floor and then it's away.
By the way, when I say the Belt is so easy, I should say convenient, there is nothing easy about it, although I am getting better.
What is Jonnie's thread called, "Haven't got a clue", perhaps we should start "Haven't got a clue 2" just for planks. Then again maybe that would be frowned upon amongst all these freaks? I'm already nearly frowning upon it myself.

Our Fearless Leader and spanking new Support Person, Dierwolf just bought an electric P-51. He put a couple pictures up but I can't remember which thread it was in.
Maybe he can pop in here and give us a link.

Yeah, I saw that, looked pretty good and excellent value for money. I couldn't find anything close to that value in the UK. Well there's a surprise!

Yea, I feel bad for you guys in the UK.
I see some of the prices, VAT and shipping over there and I'm glad I'm on this side of the pond.

It started in your What's on your bench today? (http://www.helifreak.com/showpost.php?p=732720&postcount=45) thread - and I'm still kicking myself for not getting it while Hobby City carried them :arggg:
There's a whole section on planks and foamies here (http://www.helifreak.com/forumdisplay.php?f=8). Been kind of quiet, though... But I'm sure we could easily fix that :smokin:

I love having a relaxing flight on the sim with a plane. I like to edit the jet planes to make them go really fast and I fly them upside down as low to the floor as possible. Only problem is. You have to shorten the wings other wise they can snap off because of the g force.
I also like doing 3D flights with the stunt planes. After flying a helicopter, I can do 3D on a plane soo easy on the sim..
I would like to either get a stunt plane or a fast jet plane. My heart says stunt plane:P But my head says super fast speed! But in all fairness you will never get bored or a stunt plane.
I have a big nitro trainer in the garage. (We had one flight with a pro next to us with another controller). Its not mine though, its my bros. Thinking of starting it up again but we aren't sure if we should go to a club or something.

I love relaxing with a plank like Wren. It is definitely relaxing but still fun and still keep your stick fingers and mind in shape.

Had a good chuckle that I didn't remember it was in a thread a started myself.
Where is Wolfie by the way? Probably raking in the huge overtime to buy some new toys!

See my signature for a recommendation.
This plank flies so nice and nothing flies like balsa! Highly stable but a great 3D plank also. You can fly it a whatever level of relaxation you need...fast and hard or slow and floaty! I set it up for about $300. I HIGHLY recommend it!

I like the look of that. Just what I want. Floaty and relaxing when wanted, but also fully aerobatic for when a few thrills are required. Problem is your $300 will probably translate to a whole lot more by the time I get everything I need over here. Anyway I will certainly bear it in mind, I am definitely going to get a plane, and if it costs a lot so be it. Thanks for the info.

I always take my MS Composite Blade to the field when I'm flying my birds. It'll hover like a heli but on low rates fly like a trainer. As an added bonus it uses the same batts.as my smaller helis. For $40 bucks for the kit its hard to beat this foamie.
