I'm new to the sport and want to build a 450 size Hughes 500D as a winter project and am looking for advice/recommendations. I bought a "parts" heli, a Trex 450S GF with damages, Since I'm new to this I'll explain what I have to the best of my ability. Seesaw holder, mixing levers and flybar control broken, Flybar is bent, paddles missing, on one servo the wires sheared and a minor ding in the tail boom plus one tail blade missing and no main blades. Also, no receiver. It has motor, ESC standard with the kit.

I have an extra receiver that came with the Spectrum Dx6i from my Blade 400. It is an AR 6200 full range receiver. I will completely disasseble the carnage and rebuild and I would like advice on what would be the best set-up to rebuild for a scale. From electronics to mechanicals what should remain or change?

Oh, are parts from one Align 450 interchangeable with other Align 450's. Example if I bought a complete head unit for a XL or a V2 would fit the one I bought?

Thanks in advance.

Yes, you can install the XL or V2 head assembly.

The components of the V2 head is only partially interchangeable with the V1 head.

The main hub, feathering shaft and blade grips are different on the V2, because the feathering shaft is 4mm and the blade grips have thrust bearings.

The Align V1, CopterX, or similar head assembly is sufficient for scale flying.
