Sorry to post this question here but since this is the section I will be mainly posting on and I am among friends, I thought I'd ask here.
Is there a members gallery here as with the other forum and can you post pictures and video links here?
Regards Bell Bloke.

Bell,
Up in the left corner of your screen you will see "user CP". Click on that and get access to your gallery, avatar, social groups, blogs, etc, etc.
Play around with it to become familiar with the abilities here on HF.
Oh, and Welcome! :)

Bell Bloke,
Welcome and thanks for your support on the other side. You'll like it here and if we can get more to come over it could get quite lively.:D

Hi Bell, welcome. I corresponded with you on the "Darker side" as well. You've been very helpful.
Cheers,

Thanks alot for the long chat yesterday, i am already looking for the Wren,
I have spoken to Sara via email today at the moment, until i get rid of this acrobatic i can only afford to buy second hand...
I am sure there will be some sarcastic phone calls to me for going down the Predator route, but hey, thats life....
At least i will have both of the top turbines and as you spoke at length alot of the mystery surrounding Wren is just Bull...

Matt,
I really have a pretty good sense of humor, except of course, when I was over at RR. I don't have to worry about that anymore, so Welcome. I apologize if I ever offended you.
I guess from what I read you are getting a Wren, so good luck. As you know I feel pretty strongly that they make a good product. Service is also a big component in my mind when evaluating the value of a product. Wren measures up to the task. I can not say that about other brands, not all others, but a fair share of them.
I did quite a bit of research before going with Bergen/Wren.
I wish you success in your Predator build. I'd love to know how it goes as I followed the gasser builds and saw some interesting opinions. I will be happy to help you with any questions about Wren you have.
For the record, I am not a Rep from either Bergen or Wren, although I wouldn't mind being one.

i try not to take anything personal on a forum, like you i am passionate about my hellie, and for that you need commendation, i too apologise for any offence caused,
by my comments saying you were a rep,
i have to say how different it is over here, no stabbing,no idiots posting baiting comments just for the sake of it, it really is a nice site...
i cannot understand why some JC owners get all ratty, i have been told some right horror stories about the set up i am going for, but after speaking to Ross who has given me his personal assurance that he will do everything he can to ensure i am 100% happy with my predator, even helping me choose all the way before i part with money on someones machine, all cos he loves the Wren...
i have had some great help from PeterRob with my JC, and i hope that will continue, i am also happy to get help here with the Wren...
And i am happy to be joining you...

Service has been the big thing, and dealing with people that speak English, even if it has a Northern twang, i know if i have a problem i can get in my car and drive up to Wren and sit at Sara plush mahognay desk until i get my problem sorted..
rather than have to mess around with international money exchange, then wait for 6 - 8 weeks before i get my turbine back, JC is good, and what they do is also good, it is the really long down time i hate, and the fiddly things,
i have had to change the O ring 3 times, it is such a pain, it can be done, but they really prefer to post it, which costs £110.00 if i insure it, to send it germany,
All the Uk people do is pack and send it to Germany and then charge you for the privlidge, i then send emails and it can be a few days or even a week before i get a reply in pidgeon english...
It is ok, cos that is what i have come to expect, so i am looking forward to experiencing shorter down times...
Bell even offered to show me how to service the bearings after 60hrs, which i am gonna take him up on it....
Anyway i have rambled on enough...
Thanks for the welcome to the forum, i am gonna turn over a new leaf!!!
Matt
A new leaf? That's really good to hear! I was thinking about how everyone seems to be turning up over here, and whilst I was preparing supper tonight I decided that afterwards I'd come on this thread and suggest that it would be great if all the arguments and unpleasantness could be left behind and people could all be friendly and helpful. I was delighted to see that Matt is suggesting exactly the same thing. I never really understood why everyone had to be at loggerheads on the other site and often wondered how many potential new turbine fliers were put off by the abrasive attitudes of some of the contributors.
I have always found the HF people to have sensible attitudes and a good sense of humour. I know the majority of people here are our "transatlantic cousins" and I ask them to be patient with the new recruits from Britain - our accents may be different but our hearts are in the right place!

Funny enough I was mentioning to my buddy the other day that I felt the lion's share of turbine heli owners seemed to be in the UK. Not counting or anything, just seemed to be in my mind... One of these days I'll be in the fold. I've picked up a Pred Gasser as a future donor....

Dont waste time thinking about it,
It was demoed to me the other day, someone lit a candle and said " ok i want you to close your eyes and think about putting that flame out, just think about that flame going out"
of course no one could put it out, by thinking, it was only when i got up out of my chair and physically blew it out i achieved the task...
Moral is if you have the financies, go for it, you wont be disapointed.

Isn't that nice......... just so great to see you guys so "lovey-dovy"...... wonder how long that will last with a bunch of "passionate brits"?:)
after tracking the responses (with the weather) it appears that it all may be caused from SAD (seasonal affective dissorder) which no doubt can occur when there is a lack of sunshine..............hmmmmm
Just think...... the sun always shines over Gravesend.... just a case you need to get to 20k feet before you see it :YeaBaby::YeaBaby:. (or you can move to Orlando)......
I take the middle road with one foot south and one foot East....... besides I fly a hobbyparts machine :arggg::smokin::lolol.
Besides............. the smilees are so much better over here. :rolling

i would love to move to ORLANDO,
they cater for Autistic childeren so much better in the states, and disabilities in general, but i would miss my afternoon PG tips or Typhoo, and the british sense of humour,
and fish and chips, and decent beer not the gnats urine that is sold over there..

"Dont waste time thinking about it,"
No problem with me thinking about it. I'd do it tomorrow, but momma would have a hard time with it especially when I have 4 heli's already sitting in the shop that get out for a few hours every month & a half... It will come though.... the sound.... the smell..... ;)

Hi Matt,
Is it the Acrobat you don't like or the Jetcat? You could get going with a Wren now buy putting one in your Acrobat.

Chopperjockey,
you found me! :cheers
I don't like the acrobatic,i like the jet cat, i was flying it around when i last was down with Peter, and i got it into circuits and fig 8's, but i did not feel as comfortable as i do with my Hotcat, the Acrobatic is ballistic, and i always feel i am flying on the edge and catching it.....
The machine is gonna be swapped for peters 1/4 scale jetranger, so i will have one with a Jetcat and one with a Wren...and of course that lovely scale model which is awsome..

Our private schools cater to Autistic children, not the public schools. I know first hand, it cost about 1600 US a month to have a school cater to an Autistic child here in the US.
You can buy good beer here, you just have to know where to look for it, but I agree in principle.
Welcome guys. If you look at the HF Locator, you will see we are a lot more diverse than people think at first glance.
