Hey guys,

Well, my very first flights with the Gaui 200 were a complete sucess, thanks to careful setup, and very much help and advice from you guys!

I couldn't have done it without your input, advice, and humor!

I spooled her up (with training gear, for safety's sake), got a feel for the tail, made a couple of rudder adjustments, brought it into a hover, and she was nice and stable! Put it down again, and a few clicks here and there on the cyclic, some more on the rudder, and it was hovering like a champ!

Put her down again, and clicked the gyro switch from 55% to 70%...and took it up again, and it hovers like a dream (with training gear, that will probably all change once they come off!!)!!

I am amazed at the preliminary flight characteristics, the ultra responsive throttle, and the locked in tail are amazing!

I AM IN LOVE!! I can see this quickly becoming my favorite helicopter!

Gotta go order some more batteries from Readyhobby!!!

Once again guys, THANK YOU SO MUCH for making this a very sucessful adventure!

Looking forward to more participation and discussions with the group soon !

Sorry to hear that another heli-freak has just received a life sentence. :smokin:

If your throttle/pitch is to responsive/sensitive try a more flat throttle curve.

Are you sure you wouldn't rather have the Blade CP instead?? Didn't think so.

It's just like Christmas morning huh? There's just no substitute for Gaui goodness. Enjoy

Hey guys,

Thanks!

I will pass the good word along on the Gaui, it's made a beliver out of me so far!

Rotorhead...lol, I won't ask what happened on your first outing!

I will try to post some pics when I get some time, it's nothing special...and I still need to tidy up my wiring, etc.

Jetleaf....LOL, my CPP will not see the light of day for quite some time to come, I can assure you of that!!

It was just like Christmas morning, yeah!!

Didn't get any stick time tonight, big storms came through. I can't wait to try it out without the training gear on a more calm day (this mornings flights were in 15-18 MPH winds!!)

Happy flying all, and thanks again!

P.S. I got to looking at the Micro Heli tailbox, and just had to have one...got the last one that Heli Direct had in stock!

Aahh, the legendary "GAUI GRIN"!!!

Congratulations!, but you did all the work ;-)

Hey, when was the last time we had somebody upset with the 200?
I think there was one once, but it's been a while...

Best not bring that one up Gr4y..... From memory, Helista Black-Ops dragged that troublemaker out back and explained to him the error of his ways ...obviously in a firm but fair fashion.

There's some pics of my setup in this thread:
http://www.helifreak.com/showthread.php?t=83086
Battery tray is made from .040" lexan.

I have the same issue with headspeed, turns out the can was slipping on the motor shaft. Heli is very sluggish and dumps the pack in no time.
All my gear meshes are very nice - I've been doing gear meshs a long time.

readyheli is sending me a new motor, we'll see if that cures the problem, but with your comments, I wonder if there's a bad batch of motors out there.
