It is very sad to for people who send $2,000 for the radio. Check out this post on RR.

Sad? I'm very happy with both of my 14MZ's ... best radio I've ever had.

Hi X,

These problems are very rear, it might seem like there are a lot of problems but that’s because most of the problems are being reported in the forums. My 14MZ and G3 RXs are without issue and it has been the best experience I could hope for, this is also the case with my friends who have bought the MZ, the % that have problems are small but highly reported.

Thanks Russ, I hope mine 5014 are ok too. But got glitched once before. My 9Z was lockout twice before and I crashed 2 difference Extremes and both are difference channel. Send my 9Z to Futaba, the result was module out of tune. And my 9Z was only 11 months old.

Thanks,
x

I just love the way folks that don't own the 14 knock the radio. my 14 has never had a problem and that's true of over 99% of the radio's. we just hear about the ones that have a problem, and most of the time it's not the radio at all but the installation. Had a guy call me sat with a glitch in 3 receivers and it turned out to be a problem with a gov sensor causig the problem not the 14. The next guy that asks me about a ctrl, alt, del button is not going to like my response if it's in person. just a small rant, Ron :arggg:

Almost crash my Extreme last week and yesterday due to bad glitched and lock out. First I though my 5014 was bad then I changed to other 5014 receiver. It was happen again yesterday after I changed to a new 5014. Found out that my 9251 servo wire (black) was rubbing on the clutch bell and almost cut it off the black wire. I hope this is the cause of the glitched and lock out.
Do you guys think, is the cause of my glitched and lockout?

Thanks,
x

Yes that cause a glitch and lost of control. Wires rubbing on the edges of frames can also cause glitches and other problems.
You need to take extra care in the routing of the electrical wires on any heli.
