I just picked up new AR7000 receiver to use on my 600N. The receiver is working fine, but I noticed some differences between it and the other three 7000s I'm running in my other helis. The first of which is kinda weird: If the TX and the RX are both powered off, then you turn on the TX, followed by the RX, the system links up normally. If you then power off the RX and then power it back up, the lights flash on both the main and satellite RX, and it doesn't link back up. If you then shut off the RX and TX, and then turn everything back on in the proper sequence, everything is fine again.

This isn't really an issue on the bench, but what happens in the event of a brownout? Isn't it supposed to link back up? Also, wasn't Spektrum's latest update supposed to improve how the receiver dealt with power interruptions? I can't tell what firmware version I have, since there's no sticker, but this is the first AR7000 I've bought that didn't come in a gray cardboard box, but a clear plastic one and was labeled as being compatible with Spektrum's data recorder.

I realize these issues would best be addressed by asking Spektrum themselves, but they have a history of not answering my emails.

Any thoughts?

If you turn off the rec power and back on it should be connected within a few mseconds (you won't really notice) the flashing is there to indicate that voltage dropped during the flight.
It should reconnect instantly.

Thats the latest firmware. Instant reconnect, and a slow flashing light.

They say if you turn it off for 14 seconds or whatever it wont flash but thats wrong, as long as the transmitter stays on it will do a fast connect and flash the lights.

Ah, OK guys, thanks for the explanation. I expected somthing like that to be the case, since I still had full functionality when the lights were flashing, but it's good to get confirmation.
