Hi.

I am currently building a new T-rex 500 and am pondering over what receiver to put in it. I have the Futaba 7C transmitter on 35 mhz and use this with my 2 other heli's, a Raptor 30v2 and a Mini Titan.

I have seen the Futaba 7C fasst 2.4 ghz on offer which includes the R617FS receiver and so was wondering if it would be a good move to go over to 2.4 now before my heli collection gets to big. Obviously I would need to purchase 2 new receivers for the other 2 heli's.

Sorry for my ignorance as well but is the 2.4 that's used in the USA the same as the 2.4 used in the UK, as it is in the states that I have seen the 7C on offer.

Thanks very much for your help.

I have the 7C fasst and I like it. 2.4 is the future of this hobby so the quicker you move on the better.

Do you know if it is the same as what's used in the states?

Mini
make sure it has the CE mark on it, it is the european certificate of conformaty and allows you to fly at your site, as for the American market I can't say as i have not bought any Radios from there, if it does not have the CE mark you will be breaking the law my friend (and that goes with anything you buy abroad) and the other members at your site will not be very happy with you because you'll be using a dodgy radio.
Have a look on the BMFA site and your handbook that came with your membership, it's has all the info on there.
Hope this helps mate

Cheers Simon. Thats explained it a little better. I know that I wouldn't regret going over to 2.4, it's just the costs involved. Got to try and convince my better half somehow :)
