I recently sold a Trex 450 SE to a friend and now he has purchased a DX6 and I want to copy the original settings on my DX7 to his DX6 so he can bind and fly the heli. I have the patch cord but have no idea on how to do the copy. Any and all information will be greatly appreciated and will get another heli freak started off hovering.

You can not do a transfer via cable between those transmitters. Neither one supports data transfers. You have to manually copy from one radio to the other. Also did your friend purchase a DX6 or a DX6i. If it was a DX6 then it will only work with a AR6000 or BR6000 receiver.
