12X MV!!!

Today I received a surprise from Horizon, my new 12X radio!!!

I wasn't expecting it for another month maybe....

Anyway, This is the 2.4 AND 72 Mhz system, just change out the module on the back. I of course turned it on to check out the programming, typical JR stuff, no problem.

I installed the 72Mhz module to see what differences there are, noting some in the included quick start guide. What I did NOT see in the quick start guide OR the manual is the Freq Monitor explanation.....

When you turn it on with the 72 Mhz module installed, it asks if you want to turn RF on or not, down in the lower RH corner of the same screen is Freq Monitor. When you select it and click on it up comes a screen that scans all the 72 Mhz channels!!!

Was anyone aware of this??? I looked around the Horizon website but did not find any mention of it.

Just to be sure I wasn't being faked out somehow, I did test it today with another radio turned on.

Sure enough, it registers the freq of the other transmitter. Pretty cool!!

I still can't find any mention of it in the manual though....:shrug

I thought it would be a quantum leap ahead a 9303...
It more like an upgraded 10x.

and It did ,I think.
It has more feather that 9303 don't have.
Maybe 9303 is enoght,12x is for the people who has extral $
