Is this a problematic part? We are 4 guys here who just bought this helicopter, and 2 of them had the hub lock out within the first gallon of fuel. Thinking of buying the hub from Quick UK.....
Thank you!

If you search the forum then you'll see a few others have had this problem too. I remember one suggestion was to use one way bearing grease. If your still having problems then throw money at the problem and buy the QUK one.

As soon as the kit hub locks up replace it with a Quick UK hub. Expensive yes (especially with the dollar being so weak right now), but well worth it. Lockups become a thing of the past.

I have a 60 converted to a 90, so it's got the 60 hub, I've got 5 gallons thru it doing hard to moderate 3D and it's still fine. First thing I did before I even ran it was put light "Tri Flow" oil. I used to grease the one way on my 450s and had nothing but problems, since I switched over to tri flow I haven't had any problems with any of them and they've had lots of flights.
Tri Flow.

In general, grease is not a good idea with these clutches. If memory serves (it has been months since I built my 90 3D), this is just another "ramp-roller" clutch. The rollers (sometimes incorrectly referrred to as "needles") need to move freely up and down the ramps. They tend to stick in grease, jamming the clutch.
As stated by Lota-Fun-R above, Tri-Flow is a very good lubricant to use.

Just wanted to chime in, I'm running the stock one-way, not having any problems, and use Tri-Flow oil for lube.
Just wondering if there might be a trend being established?

Just got and installed the QUK unit. Wil try it this week-end.
Thank you for the ideas.
