Any recommendations on what should be in a crash kit for the hurricane 550? Like extra main and tail blades, tail boom, main shaft, feathering shaft, tail shaft, skids, etc.

Main Shaft and Front Bearings, really? Do you ding them up in a wreck normally? Not disagreeing, I'm curious as in T-Rex 450 land you REALLY have to hit hard to wipe out the Mains at lest and this is all I'm familiar with...
The Boom Braces aren't the strongest so perhaps a spare set of these (which I need to order myself).
What about Dampers? I know if you hit on a T-Rex these get smacked and should be replaced.
Don't forget the obvious, BLADES!!!

The items I have replaced after crashs in order of frequency are:
Blades (lots)
Mast (lots)
Flybar (lots)
Boom (lots)
42t gear (lots)
61t gear (lots)
Body Retainers (lots)
ESC X 2
Spimdle x 2
OWB x 1
Stabiliser fin x 1
Tail Blades x 1
Landing gear x 1
Canopy x 1
The wooden blades are great, they sacrifice themselves and save other components like servos & spindles.
I recently had my first bearing collapse - after 200 flight. It was the shaft with the OWB on it. I now have a full set of bearings in my kit, but you don't need them to start with. All other bearings are original & I have over 300 flights now.
Very affordable heli to keep flying.

Crash Kitrs are useless!
In my humble, but somewhat extensive, opinion of crashes I have found that all the parts you break are NOT in your crash kit. Crash kits can be as comprehensive as you like....but, it's always the bit you decided not to buy ("that can't possibly break!") that gets trashed!
It's almost as if the heligods have a good look in your spares store before throwing you out of the sky!
before I get beaten up by anyone....the above message should be read with your tongue firmly set in your cheek!

Fortunately I haven't crashed my Hurri yet. But my 450SEv2 crashed last weekend quite bad (nose in from about 50ft), and the brand new main shaft bearings (4 flights) were gone. So, that's when I decided to keep the bearings in my spare parts box (to avoid the name crash kit )

I used to just keep a spare hurri...then I could pick parts and reorder as needed. Now I have the plastic kit and the cf version, so I at least have one to fly while waiting for AOG..(aircraft on ground) should be HOG...
I am so spoiled with RH and HD getting parts in 3 days......
