Well, two questions actually..

1. What size hex key is correct for the ball-links on the B400?

2. Has anyone else had problems with the ball-links rounding off using the supplied hex keys, and are there any replacements that are 'stronger' in this way?

I now have two or three that have begun to round off, and need to replace them. Would rather change out the whole lot of there are better ones out there as a direct swap...

Check out the Trex 450 V2 balls, if memory serves me right, they're steel. That'd be good!

Are the Trex ones the same size?

I'm not sure, maybe you can find out by looking them up on HeliDirect or ReadyHeli... Or hopefully someone else here knows.

Ok, thanks.
Anyone able to tell me the hex size for the B400 balls? will buy a better hex driver when i know which one to get.

The correct allen key size is 1.5 mm and no I personally have not had a problem with them rounding.
The hex screws I have had problems with rounding, but it seems to be a problem of poorly manufactured tools rather than the screws themselves.
The TRex will fit as they also use m2 screws, but the ball size is a fair bit larger and you will have to change all your ball links as well. If you do go this route, be aware that the trex ball links only go on one way (ie full turns only, no half turn adjustments).

Thanks everyone.
I will buy the B400 balls set, and some new hex drivers then.

And if you use good tools the hex heads round.

Ahh, a paradox me thinks.

To be fair though cheap fasteners are the order of the day everywhere. A good screw is hard to come by. :YeaBaby::cheers
