Ok, I am just going to get 3x hitec 45 servos. One of the bluebird 306bb servos exploded while hovering again :arggg: BAD servos!!

we have said it time and again. i don't know why they even recommend them with this heli. they are junk.

yep I agree. the hitecs are the way to go. Even with them wrapped in thread to keep them together, they are still not good

Yup, if you have the choice, hitecs are the ones to go for. I believe they sell the 306bb in the package deals as they are not only cheap but what Gaui recomend and to be honest they are almost a perfect fit. I had some problems with these servos to start with and so used some 38mm flat PVC shrink wrap. Cut off a length about 40mm long, then cut a semi-circle out of one edge about 5mm in. Place over the servo and line up the output shaft and shrink and trim!! Very quick and dirty as a solution but i have not had a problem since. Having said that i was all set to but 3 HS-45s but have now found this month's Heli budget is nedded elsewhere :-(

not sure I understand, I've had 2 problems with mine, one a wire cracked from the motor and I resoldered it and it was fine, the rest the gears started slipping because of how the cases are put together. I go around the case top to bottom with some scotch tape and problem solved.

Just a more permanent version of your scotch tape method ;) They are still 5h1t servos!! About 10 mins ago, I just finished replacing 2 sets of gears after my last crash and at $1.99 a set they are a cheap fix... just have the rest of the rebuild to go

i actually have only broken the gears maybe once or twice, usually its just the cases loosened up, since doing the tape, they seem to be fine. Not the best servos in the world to be sure, but for the size of the heli, there aren't a heck of a lot of choices.

I have similar experiences with 306BB. The case of servo comes apart slightly with each flight, and the original shrink wrap is not really the cure. Plus, 2 of the servos already developed certain play around their neutral point. Exchanged them, and after few flights, the history repeats, with one servo exploding in air.
I'm also going to get Hitecs, though their price made me reluctant to decide for them as the first choice. Oh well. *Sigh*.

why mess around with these servos. get some 45's and be done with it. i don't recall anyone ever having a problem with them. i don't do 3d with my 200, but i can say that they have a 100% crash survival rate for me.:)

At $34 a piece, the 306's must be great servos!! ;-)

Anyone tried 3154s on the cyclic?
