Has anyone tried a setup like this?
You would get 3600mah, 30C - thats 108A..

I think that you mean 6S2P - I'm not sure whether you would parallel them up and then put the paralleled packs in series or the other way round - could be an interesting experiment

yeah 6s2p :)
I have a bunch of 2200 3s I might see how they work...
Might need a 600 canopy

No.. 6S2P will give you 54 amps.
Each pair of 1800MaH packs in series will give you a 6S1P 1800MaH 15C 'battery' (27 amps)
When you add two more in parallel (to make 6S2P) you double capacity and AMPS not "C" - so another 1800MaH and another 27 amps.

OK I was a little excited when I made the first post..
Its a little nose heavy :)
I figure about 30g at the tail boom support clamp would straighten it out..
In the pics are 4 packs 2200's..
So thats 6s2p 4400.
So thats
4400 x 20C = 88A
The canopy is about 3/4" short of the pins, and this is a plastic canopy, not quiete as big as the Fusano

Holy LiPo.. that LOOKS like a lot of packs... Any potential to move one back into the body of the frame? Maybe move the ESC (I think it's the ESC in the front of the frame) out and mount it on the side of the frame.. should still sit inside the canopy - that's where my ESC lives.

I could mount 2 packs under the frame, or i could reorganise the entire setup and maybe fit 2 inside the frame - but probly only 1

I usually turn my top packs around and mount then right up against the motor with the leads coming off he other way....have my esc on the left side....would that work better?

I usually have em that way too..
I just stuck those 4 in there to see if the would fit...
I normally just run 2 of them :)

This setup should work awesome. Its better than a 20c or a 25c pack. I have tried it with two Outrage 2200 6s in parallel... gobs of power 50C and flight time 4400mah. I have the CHP frame so lots of combination will work but it can be nose heavy.

I'd try to relocate one of the batteries farther back, either in or under the frame, rather than add more weight to the tail to balance it.

Im not sure if I would ever fly it this way, but its a cool idea - at least I think so
those packs are 175g each..
Figure a total of 700g... its not too bad..
Your right, if I could move just one pack back inline with the main shaft It would be sweet.
