I've got a Hanson 3D Max. I have the settings at 1 3/8 lo and 1 1/2 high. Engine starts and hovers great. Full throttle climb out at +9 it seems to pull off fine then hold rpm but just barely. I used to get a full +10 climb out with less bog. I can do loops, rolls and stall turns but it just doesn't sound as though it could pull itself out if I mess up. It did before. I checked the carb, there was a tiny bit of fuzz in the screen and that is all cleaned up. There are no leaks in the intake. I run 3.2 oz of saber with 87 octane gas.

I can't rule out the muffler plugging, but I'd have to put the stock box back on to see. The last time I had a muffler plug I couldn't get through transition. I seem to be able to transition fine. I get a pretty good climb out and it does start to load up for awhile in the climb.

The plug is a year old and its a stock champion.

What have I forgotten to check.

With the temps we're at right now 1.5 turns is too rich. Of course I would be careful running any leaner with that oil mixture......:)

Lou,

I am running Blue Marble 4oz / gallon and have the low at 1 1/4 and the high around 1 1/8. I found its a pretty small sweet spot on the high end to get the most power with 230 degrees.
