i am useing hitec 5625 servos on all controlls are they enough?
here is the specs///...i am running 6 volts.

Motor Type: 3 Pole Ferrite
Bearing Type: Dual Ball Bearing
Speed: 0.17 / 0.14 @ 60 deg.
English Metric
Torque: 109.7 / 130.53 oz.in (4.8v/6v) 7.9 / 9.4 kg
Size: 1.59" x 0.77" x 1.48" 41.60 x 19.80 x 37.80mm
Weight: 2.11oz 60.00g

the issue i have is verry slow roll rate. bot if i slow the headspeed the roll rate speeds up.(not sure of the rpm)
.. also what is the norm for needel settings

I am not aware of anyone running Hitec on their EBs. I run futaba and others run JR. From the specifications listed the speed of the servos look reasonable unless you are into 3D, the torque is fine. The motor type is old fashion. Most good servos today are coreless or brushless. I run metal gears in my servos, but it probably doesn't make any difference, because the number 1 gear is still plastic or nylon and it will strip on a hard crash.

I don't think that the servos will affect roll rate much, aileron throw will.
You need to know your headspeed. In normal use 1,450 and in idle 1 use 1,650 for aerobatics. That of course assumes 810 mains.
For needle settings it depends what engine you have. What are you running.

ok the servo throw is maxed out on all and the head speed is about the same as you listed around 1400 ,and 1600 idle up. the problem is with the higher head speed it will barely roll, the lower the head speed the faster it will roll. it is a g 26.with 810 mains.
what servo do you recomend?

you will find the roll to be a bit slower with 810's versus 710's however; it should be quicker with a higher head speed.

Any flybar weights?

I've never been a big fan of Hitec servos, I have heard of too many "difficulties" that are probably related to the higher inherent vibes in Helicopters in general, specifically in gassers.....

Your spec show it being a little on the slow side at .17. Something to consider.

Now, if the roll rate slows down with higher headspeeds instead of speeding up, which would be normal, then I suspect a weak servo, weak battery power, or ball links that need reaming. Also consider checking the thrust bearings in the main blade grips for correct installation and grease.

Some pics may help identify mechanical setup issues as well.

i run 9252 on everything except collective and it seems to be good all around and that's on my eb with 810 with head speed of 1500 with no idle up. and they seem to handle the vibes of the gasser really well.

What receiver battery are you using?

Those servos should have enough torque, but since they're digital, they will tend to drain a good amount of current. If you are using a cheap or small battery pack, you may just need to upgrade your battery so that the voltage won't drop off and cause a loss of torque.

Do they ever "freeze up" on you?

thats a good point, you should have at least something which can handle 3 amps, i run nicad 3000 jr packs x 2 which have more then enuff jam for my heli. and also have a gen too!

no they dont freeze up,,i am running a sub c 2000mah at 6v with a gen
