Since I'm travelling I don't want to carry my Futaba with me so...

Is there any chance to use the RF G3 controller or any other light and smart solution ?!

I'm not aware of any solution as Phoenix has a dongle built in to the buddy box adapter to allow the software to validate the user. Without it, the software, she no workee.

If you find a solution, please post it here as I'd love to not need to depend on a single piece of hardware to allow my software to work.

Buy a cheap radio off of ebay for $20-40. Pop out the crystal and antenna. I did this before i realized how important it was to use your own radio, i also added a wallwort so it didn't run off batteries. Now i use my own radio as the feel of the radio is very important i still get 20 hours of sim time out of the battery.

I just carry my XP9303 with the RF module removed. I have the stock 1500 mAH pack from my X9303 in the Xp and I charge it every 3 - 4 months. It draws VERY little pwoer with the Tx not transmitting.

I used to carry a X6102 with 600 mAH pack, it got charged about the same. But the collective feel on the 6102 is not very nice.

I do need to make a foam piece to protect teh switches on the XP9303.
