I have flown both right after each eather. 2 of my friends have both, so I have flown 2 each on the same day.

I currently have a Vibe 50 on order. The head is tighter, no slop at all, I love the design for break away components, so some wrecks will be cheaper. And it is hands down a better flying heli!

Depends on what you want. Light, quick, and cheap, Trex.

High quality, smooth, flys like its on rails, Vibe.

yea, but if you get right down to it, its really not that much mor expensive. for hard 3d, you need upgrades for the rex, vibe is good out of the box. And after comparing standard crash kit, its less than 20.00 different.
Maybe some like chevy, and some like ford.

I went Vibe. Kit is the same price as Trex 600N, and no upgrades needed.

NICE kit. Mine has +/- 14+ degrees without coming close to binding.

I had the 2 machines and I sold the TRex 600N right after the 1st flight. Construction side, the TRex components seems and are cheeper. Quality of flight for the Vibe 50 is amazing. Even if the Vibe would be 200$ more I would still go with the Vibe.

Pinecone ...do you feel that the stock blade grips are beefy enough to not need metal grips ? Do you plan on upgrading them in the future ? Looking hard at this kit and would rather make the change if necessary during build . Thanks for info .

I, like most of us, have sold our 600N's shortly after the purchase of our Vibe's.

The blade grips are fine and I haven't heard of one single failure.

The only upgrades you need is tail blades and paddles and in my opinion ditch the ball links and build it with rocket city links.

You can always use the JR ball link reamer. With this you can properly size the ball links to the balls, thus avoiding all the issues with JR links.

Only problem I had with the links was how hard they are to thread on the rods. But a link tool works, but you have to sort of shove it on due to the ridges JR puts around the link hole.

The grips look beefy enough. And no one has reported any troubles, even with headspeeds in the the 2150 - 2200 range, IIRC.

But teh Kasama grips do look sweet. :) But I will put my $100 into fuel.

Yea, I know about the sizing tool. The stock links are hard plastic and can break just from putting them on. I had one crack on my first vibe before it ever flew and it was put on the right way. I just don't trust them.

wow glad i saw this. was thinkin /leaning heavily toward trex600n because i have the 450, and because of the finless vids. but i checked out the jr on the net and it appears as if the instructions are excellent, very unlike align. now im pretty certain i will be getting the vibe 50!

You won't regret the Vibe.

I'm very happy with my Vibe50. I just totaled it 2 weeks ago and decided to set it aside and build a Logo500 and rebuild the Vibe later. Well, after building the Logo, I can really appreciate the quality and craftsmanship on the Vibe50! I have built about a dozen helis, mostly 50 size and the Vibe50 is by far the best built, highest quality I've built to date. I just ordered new frames today and am looking forward to rebuilding my Vibe.

I too have had thoughts about a switch to the vibe... its just... well, that stock canopy is just so ugly.

Well, Ok, the shape is awesome, but the stock white canopy with stickers is just fugly... to get a good looking Vibe canopy you need to spend upwards of $200. Why is Align the only company that has come out with a decent selection of cheapish decent looking stock canopies?

My current plan is to preemptively replace all the problematic bearings in my 600 and see how it goes - while drooling over all the vibes at the field (all of whom show up at the field with nice $200 canopies, and proceed to put on the fugly white thing to fly with, then put the $200 canopy on for the ride back home - go figure)...

Well, Callie Graphics is looking for a Vibe 50 canopy to borrow to fit their decals to it.

They offered me a free set for the loan of my canopy. Of course, I had already started painting mine.

And actually I did a simple scheme (pics later) with the stock stickers and it came out looking pretty nice.
