Gy611 problem

I have a slight problem w/ my Gy611 gyro in my T-Rex 600. Since Ive had my 600 its been in the ground three times and each time the gyro (Did Not) take a direct hit. There is not visiable damage but the tail wages ever so slightly and on takeoff the gain on the screen reads 36% and upon landing it decreases to 30%. I was wondering if anyone knew if it could be the sensor or the display screen.

Are you sure you don't have a mix in the radio that is hitting the gyro channel?
If you are using a futaba have a look at the servo bar graph page
while using the controls

Are you using a radio that has different gain settings per flight mode?

Im using a Dx7 radio system. I've checked everything twice in the radio to make sure I didnt hit the wrong button when I changed my pitch curves. Everything in the radio is set right. I had a bit of a bind in the tail rotor shaft and replaced w/ new but havent been able to take her up. But would that cause the gyro to jump in the gain %?
