well finally installed my new bec. how many volts can the stock servos and gyro handle? it has settings for 5.3 and 5.8. on the 2nd flight with the new bec i got a crazy glitch causing my heli to crash. i broke the blades,cf boom support, and put a nice dent into the boom. i fixed it flew it again and more glitches! the TX is fully charged, antena half way out and im only 4 feet away. i even have a ferrite ring on the servo wire!

Transmitter antenna only halfway extended?

Get it out, every inch of it. It's that long for a reason. Also, you can actually get glitches from being too close.

I think the gyro should be able to handle it, but you won't get any advantage out of 6 V - the stock servos will barely hold together at 5 V. I would leave the setting at 5.3 until you have something that can use the extra and you're outflying even those upgraded electronics on 5V. Otherwise you will only wear out servos faster.

I got glitches after installing a new ESC/BEC (my stock one burned out).

It wasn't an electric problem in the end - was the pitch/load on blades not setup properly - check the 'motor losing power at mid throttle' thread, or post again if you need more info...Hope you find the culprit!

P.S. Try resetting the throttle range on your ESC too.

ok changed out the receiver for a spare hitec 05s and no glitches!! i think the higher voltage makes the stock receiver more sensitive.
