what headspeed has been optimum for aggressive 3D,
I am around 2,200 and seems like I could use a little more,
I am running 560mm rotortechs.
Thanks,
Jeff

That sounds about right. Perhaps tell us your motor/ESC/battery combo.
When i first built my 500 3D a month ago i used some older lipos i had, it did no have as much power as i thought. I then bought 2 new lipos and whoa it really had a lot of power.

2300rpm on head and around 9 degrees of cyclic and 13 degrees of pitch should move it good. :o

I think 2400 is about the highest headspeed you would want to run a Logo500, i have run higher, but with no real benefits, other then shorter flights and lots of heat.

I am running Z30-1150 motor
Jazz 80 controller
15T .7 mod pinion
560 Rotortech blades.
I am going to bump up the curves a 100rpm or so and see how it goes
also, add a little more cyclic throw,
Jeff

Rotor Tech 550's on a V-Bar @ 2300, and +/-12 degrees collective is just about perfection :).
Take care, Dave Dahl.
used to run 550mm SAB at 2350rpm :)
going to get some of them new 550mm V-Blades when they come out, an A40 leccy turbine, see what i can get out of the thing

I'm also running ~2350 with Rotortech 560mm (flybar) with 8 degrees cyclic and +/-13 pitch. It really comes alive with these settings.

thanks Bruce - I am going to bump up the headspeed a bit,
Thanks,

Jeff make sure all your throws are maxed out no binding of course but go that far, it makes a big difference on the logos to get an extra degree here and there on cyclic for sure. :YeaBaby:

Thanks - I have about 25-30 flights on the 5003D and just getting comfortable with it - its a great flying setup - so quiet. Going to extend the cyclic and pitch a bit more without binding.
Thanks Shawn,
Jeff
