Hi all, I am pretty new to the hobby. Built a couple of machines from kits, but I don' t fly very well, but I have fun. Anyway, just charged my TP 6S 5000Mah pack and upon removing the balancing leads from the TP 210 the 6 pin lead was a little hard getting out so when it released it jolted the battery alittle. I mean not a lot, but apparently it dislodged two of the small wires from the pack, WTF I have maybe 10 recharges on that pack and I try to be gentle with it but those wires get moved around some when you put it in the model and take it out (Raptor 550) and also taking the leads on and off the balancer over time works on those wires. These two wires that came out are only about 2 inches in length and look as thought they were cut cleanly, i.e. no freying or jagged ends and no bare wire past the insulation. It seems very strange that it should break so easily. Could it be a defect. So is the pack toast. Do I have any options? Thanks.

Don't worry about those 2 wires, that's normal on a 6s pack. Those are extra wires within THAT particular connector which is also used for a 7s or 8s pack (one balancing wire per cell, one black ground wire per connector). They're cleanly cut as you stated. Thunder Power just bundles them together, inserts them into the end of the pack, then shrink wraps the pack with those 2 wires not connected to anything.

Another word of advise - cut the locking tabs off of the balancing connectors. They will still insert into your balancer fine, but you won't stress the connectors on the TP210 circuit board every time you disconnect your packs. This was recommended to me by a Thunder Power rep a long time ago, so I've done it on every pack I've bought since. It does NOT affect the warranty.

Thanks huskynox, that info relieves my anxiety, and thanks for the good advice on the connectors.
