So I took my blade out to get some real time with the new gear...and holy bajeezuz. I was hovering and tried my first piro since the new tail and servos and gyro and such.

I thought it was fast with the t-rex grips and the stock setup...NO

Before my brain even calculated wth was going on my heli had already done two full rotations. SO FAST it is crazy!

And as soon as I let off the rudder that gyro STOPPED no drift, just BAM! STOP.

This new setup is gunna be fun :D I cant get this grin off my face :Bang

I want to tone it down by adjusting DR, but at the same time I dont :D

I am askeered to even go for the K&B's now lmao. Of course all I need to do is reduce the piro rate, as I am sure the K&B have better authority than the t-rex.

If you want even more authority, use the K&Bs with the chinese weights = insane

Edit:

I just read fireup's thread. Nice mod, see he sells the jig too. But I think I will wait until my skill level actually calls for that.

hey skunky, do you think I could use the 770 with my 65mg on the tail for a while(till I can afford a good tail servo) or wont it work in analog mode....

Stinky Igloo

Strip the ano and reseal if if you want. Even dye it another color like black. I plan on it. Used to do it all the time with my nitro car parts so I have all the ano stuff.

What did you use to "Strip" it and how did you dye it another color?

You need to have an anodizing kit and setup to do all that.

770 is no joke, it's a lot of gyro. My Lepton piros so fast the straps can't hold the battery.

I toned it down, went 55% on DR insted of 65%. I may take it up to 60%.

Skunky,

So that's it for the CopterX: just a bolt-on? No other mods needed for the head/tail to work?

Stinky Igloo
07-18-2008, 02:19 PM
The only thing you have to do is put the larger copterx/trex ball links on the inside of your stock swash. Other than that you just bolt it on.

You need to have an anodizing kit and setup to do all that.

well to put new color then yea you need some ano equipment....but taking it off just some easy off oven cleaner (yellow top can) will take the ano off and leave it plain aluminum....
