Hey Mystic - how are you finding the DS821 on the tail? I would have liked to try it initially for basic hover practice but decided to go with the matched 9254.

Cheers
Graeme

for right now, it's not a bad servo..next I think I'll move up to a Atlas

Mystic...

I'm also surprised you can get a way with such a short servo arm.....?

lol... yeah... that's longer as well... flying-hobby had set it up initially..I made a few changes since that pic

I think the longer servo horn will help for this servo, this servo is slow but has a lot of torque for tail.;)

MM,

That's exactly what I did - made a lot of difference :thumbup::thumbup:

Thanks,
Mike.

Try to rotate the boom clamp 180 deg, I did it for mine.

Here is mine.

I think my length is in between your old & new length.

the length will be determined by the servo you use as well as the gyro... mine NEEDS the extra throw in order to work... and I'm pretty sure that once I swap to a better tail servo I can reduce the throw a bit and still have a good responding tail.. and upgrading my gyro would have the same effect.. the Gaui 210 is a decent gyro.. just not a great gyro

MM,

I forgot that you were using the GU210 as well - it sounds as if you are reasonable happy with it - mine works fine with the Hyperion servo.

Cheers,
Mike.

yeah... over all I'm happy with the gyro.. although I have a Bday coming up in a little over a week and if I can score the cash, I'll upgrade the tail servo AND gyro. then put the gaui 210 on my 450 :D which is in need of a new gyro since it's last meeting with mother earth.. if not, then I'll just order the servo and some spares for the Hurri... the 450 can wait til I get money to blow before it gets attention (read as early Feb)
