The Trex700 is undoubtedly the easiest build and setup (although the Aurora looks a close second judging from Bob's videos) and once parts have filtered through it will likely be the easiest and cheapest to maintain. It also flies superbly.

The MA Stratus is the Mercedes of the class, sophisticated engineering and superb quality and also flies like a dream. The JR Vibe 90 is reputed to be a high qulaity heli but parts are expensive the Hirobo Freya probably getting a bit ancient history now but a good quality 2nd hand would be a good buy. The Synergy N9 looks the best IMHO but is reputedly a diffficult build and needing U/G from new but a v2 is due out soon :) Don't forget the TT 90 - that's a solid well flying heli and looks good in the air !

So with what's available now I'd say the T700 or TT 90 for ease of build and cheap parts - the Aurora a very attractive option and the MA as the pinnacle of quality albeit at a price and moderate difficulty of build.

like in rc cars 1/8 on-road is like the top of rc racing.

so in what order you put in the top for 90 class heli. list manufacture/model. for the next year 2009. looking to build a 90 in the winter as my second heli. is it about 3000 or 5000 to get it all started?

OK seeing as you asked (flame suits on ;))

For you I'd say:

1) T700
2) TT Raptor 90 SE
3) Avant Aurora

I would think $3000 should see you pretty well fixed up with what you need - the advertisers on HF have proven service and reliability :)

so you think the 700 is the best 90 class heli for 2009 after second production comes out?
is it for easy of build, cheap parts, no upgrades need...

wanna build the ultimate 90 heli!

money no problem, what will be the final cost?

If I were building it for you; and you said money was not an issue it would break down something like this

Trex 700 kit
JR servos 8717’s x4
AR7100R
Spartan DS760 and an 8900G for the tail
V Blades all the way around
OS 91SZ ringed

I have not read too much about the AR7100R but if it works as advertised it should be a voltage regulator and a rev limiter plus a darn good receiver all in one, I would research it more first and if I found I didn’t like it I would go with

AR7000
VR5203 duel voltage regulator
Flight power EVO Rx Pack 4300mAh 7.4V
GV-1 Helicopter Governor, the kit comes with a Align rev limiter
On Board Glow Driver System,

got the list. im going to price it out.

have a 450 and 600 to see if priced about the same and try to make the switch.

will starting straight to a 90 class heli be better if you know that this is truly your hobby? or just practice with what i have now to get better? i was thinking that if i wanna fly a 90 better to start learning it right from the start. im on my second year.

bob and helifreaks

im trying to re state what i mean about post.

i have a 450 and 600 but ready wanna get a 700.

is it to soon or should i learn more first than to jump in a 90 class heli.

im thinking that i should learn a 90 because the controls and how the heli flies will be different in style.

bob what is the retail price on your heli build vid on the 700. (just a ball park number)
i have a radio and all starting gear just need to know how much to get for my winter build. also do you think as a beginner that the 700 is better for me in parts cost and easy of build i build the 450 and 600 and they both fly great using your build vids. but the avant looks like a sweet machine.

so as an above average beginner what is the best 90 class to learn (plus i dont wanna get another 90 so i wanna get a heli that is great to average and then expert flyer with maybe some upgades down the road.)

I don't think the 90 is the best to learn on - they are big and imposing and can be scarey. 90 crashes tend to be way more expensive than smaller classes due their weight (my Strus is 5kg RTF). I'd stick with your 450 and 600 for learning manoeuvres and once you're comfortable with them try them on the 90. You also need to do the hard yards with research on the forums to really get to know the products rather than seek off-the-shelf solutions if you're really gonna understand your heli :)
