I bought G-force 2250 from valuehobby.com. It shipped today and hopefully it comes in monday. By then I can bump up my voltage to 6volts. Currently I went down to 5.1 coz the stock 1800 lipo can't handle the current load. The lipo was hot and the flight time I reduced it to 4.30 right now.
Any toughts on this.

Huh? I am running 6v on 20C 1800mAh no problem. Come down cool/warm after 6 min.

Eugene, I've noticed better temps with diff batts too....BUT I dont think its the MAH (1800/2250) it the discharge rating. For me 20C/25C, I notice the 25C ends much cooler.

Well the 20C 2250 can discharge higher amps, but I dont think this is the problem if your 1800 is coming down hot, there is something else going on.
The 36A from the 1800 is more than enough IMO. 25C would be better but the 20C works fine.

Yah Larry the 25C is an overkill I saw your 2250 performance and I'm impressed.

I don't know why I'm running hot I'm still stock in drivetrain except for the 325 align woodies. Thats why I tone down my voltage to 5.1 and I push 4 1/2 mins so I will not destroy the 1800.
Oh and I've notice that if you keep moving like fast forward flight I can vent alot of heat. And the G-force that I ordered is 11.1V 2250 20C.

Oh Skunky I notice you are running analogs in cyclics I have digitals(285). I don't know if there is a big difference there. I think my digitals are running too much AMPS then.

"Warm" & "Hot" are very subjective.
Let's see some numbers so we can do the apples to apples thing.
All 20C:
My E-Flite 1800mAh (stock) battery with 100 flights ends at 120-125F consistantly.
E-Flite 1800mAh with 80 flights usually ends at 110-120F.
G-Force 1800mAh with 30 flights ends cooler than the E-flites at 100-115F.
These temps are good for ambients of 60-75F under very hot, bright sun.
How'd ya like dem apples?

I think our heat wave is finally gone...looks like it is dropping to the high 80s all next week! Yay!
To keep this on topic I use ALL G-Force batts :)

Here it's 2:00pm and 16C (61F) and had a low of 1.4C (34.5F)
Sunny skies, no wind, no clouds (middle of winter)
Already had 4 flights and waiting for my last battery to charge then I'm off again :P

I've been running the G-Force 1800's for a couple of months now and I've had NO problems with heat or performance. I've got at least 20 cycles on each of mine.
They've been "cooler" than my stock ones since day one...the fast forward flight helps a LOT on any battery here in San Antonio, though...
It's days like this that make me miss living in Colorado Springs....

Yah Wolfpackin I'm a little exagerating in the word HOT. When me and Larry tested the temps way back its about 115F max on a 110F hot day.
Well bottom line is the 2250 will arrive here maybe this week and if I like it I will buy 2 more.
And also I might get myself a laser temp gun.
