Well, i had my first crash today, and well it JUST HAD TO BE! the logo 500 :( it died, nothing left, even kiled a 300$ 6s5000 pack, the motor punctured the one cell in the middle :( BAH!

The electronics are all ok tho, even all the servos, weird, however the heli didn't make it. BOO HISS!!,, not sure ill buy another logo 500, or sell the stuff and buy a century 620E.

That really sux Jase. :wow2:

You're good with electronics - maybe you could do what Destin says and at least salvage a 5s pack out of the battery?

So how did it happen?

A Logo 5003D kit is $429 a Century is $470.... the weight is going to go way up and the quality will go way down. I say get another Logo kit and if your battery is a Flight Power email them pictures of your Lipo and you will get another for 50% off. If they say no then look into the Outrage XP Lipos. They are better than everything I've ever tried.

I know the feeling of rekiting a heli.....

I think thats what im going to do, i have lots of UN broken spare parts, like bearings the new carbon tail that i put on and the blade grips survived, etc etc, so ill most likly going ot buy another 5003d kit, however its 499 :( the motor mount survived too, and a few other things, i just took it all apart and the swash survived and some links and other things too so, i might be able to sell them but i could keep for spares.

I really love my logo it flew well today, ive been flying the trex 600 around and its a dog way slower than this 500.

The accident happend from me doing a flip and the logo had 11- for the head and about 9 for the top in pitch, when i went to flip it i pushed all the way up on the ( right hand stick ) and well it swooped and piled into the gound, i can do these EXTREAMLY well with the 600 front way flips and backwards flips no problems at all.

Another thing, i have not flown the logo at all for a long time maybe 2 months, and well i needed more time on it to see how it felt and such.

BUT lesson learned, i guess :)

BUY ANOTHER ONE and get back at it :P

Tomorrow, im going flying the trex 600 again :P

Heh.

thanks for the tip on the battery, ill take a pic and see what can be done, i like my 6s, because i have 3 and i use them in the trex600 and logo 500.

It's $429 after you add it to your cart. http://www.espritmodel.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=5653

Wow, sorry to hear about that crash Jase.

It does look like a rekit at $429 is probably the best option since it will give a few spare parts. As Jeremy said, Flightpower has a good policy of replacing batteries at 50% off in case of crash damage so that should help out some.

Good luck on the rebuild.

yeah, thats the harder part, building another logo 500, i hated building this beast was so much time to build it, the trex 500 was so easy and the 600 too.

I just emailed the place that you suggested, ill see if they ship to canada, and if it will go usps, and see how much dutie will be.

Sorry about your crash dude.

If you hated your Logo build and you loved your Align builds, how about another T-rex 500?

Amain has the kit for $399 once its in the cart. I also hated the first build, but the second time around building the logo 600 it was a dream.

Commiserations man  - as stated above you'll find the 2nd build much easier and quicker and you'll have worked out a few short cuts - I changed frames on my 500 after several smacks and repairs and was pleasantly surprised how easy it was - you'll probably find you can use several; made up parts - like the blade grips and this'll save time too - might be just worth while costing out replacement parts though before you buy a new kit.

hi,
Why dont you buy a 500dx, as you've got all the upgrade parts ?
it should be cheaper !

I was atually thinking that, what is the difference between the dx and 3d ? I have all the bearings here and they are all fine.

Canopy different shape - softer main and tail rotor shafts - wire rather than CF tail pushrod, solid paddles, plastic swash, different locking collar ........ Probably you could upgrade all part from the shafts from the DX kit but seriously DO price out replacement parts - I've repaired from similar carnage and was surpised it was ~$300 cheaper than a new kit !

You hated building the Logo 500? Don't ever build a minirature aircraft machine then if you think Logo takes long time... Geesh I think I build my Logo 5003D in 3 hours total ready to go, I didn't think that was a long time, but,.,...... I guess?

I agree with Shawn. My new generation Logos are by far and away the fastest and easiest builds I have ever done!

Let me rephrase this, it was teadiouse, for my first build, im sure the second time around will be much faster.

Ive decided to order another logo 5003d, but im going to wait and get the whole thing with the V-bar.

Are the new frames on the Logos not repairable if they are cracked? I cant imagine having to replace the whole frame every time you crash.
