link length is based or swashplate position

swashplate position is based on phaseing block position in the rods on the head

its best to start with the servo horns
and work you way up
all set up is done at mid stick (unplug motor) and in stunt/idleup mode for full range

once servos are 90 position level swash so that when the scisor arms are level the phasing block has 1/8 of poles showing through the botom of block

now you have to level the sicor arms with the flybar control arms maintain level flybar cage until the sicor arms are level (flybar arms should be the same)
once you done so make sure block is in the same position you put it to in the step before if not you can eaither lower or raise swash or keep adj the siccor arms

once all is set now set the blade grips to 0 pitch

now check pitch ranges

i set all my swashmix settings to 60 in its current +/-
now move throttle full up take reading
now full down take reading
if the same raise you swashmix pitch setting till you have +10/-10
if not the same you will have to adj swashplate position which will also have you redo all the setup back to 0 pich and check till you achive the same on full up and down

once you ranges are good
now you do cyclic ranges

be at 0 pitch position blades across from left to right
now move cyclic left and look at the spacing between the flybar control arm ball link and the blade grip
now check the other direction if space is the same raise swashmix ailewhile folding left/right aile input till it is a hair line away from hitting the grip

if not the same flybar isnt level adj till its the same

for elev its the same but have blades over nose and tail and use up and down movement

the elev and aile swashmix is usually the same

after all is done
do blade tracking

i have made videos of all this

Thanks to you! You have too much time on your hands....

Can you measure your links as they are right now, inner lengths between links?

1) Front two links:___________mm (top),_____________mm (bottom).

2) Front servo to swashplate: _____________mm

3) Left servo to swashplate: ___________mm

4) Right servo to swashplate: ___________mm

5) Swash to blade grips: _________mm/____________mm

6) Washout to mixer: ___________mm/____________mm

I understand the CCPM setup, but want a starting point(s) for link lengths.

Thanks!

Go to the b400 bible.. there isa link in there (in the head setup portion I think) that actually shows a photo of the head with # of millimeters for every link.. really good pic... priceless really!

EDIT: Dang I can't find that link now! Does anyone know the link for that thread showing the picture?
I'll post it here anyway since I did download that photo.

Bible link in my signature....

here's a better resolution pic
