This is not a free fly event, but a rc and full scale airshow that my local club puts on once a year at our airport. The event is sept 13 only, and the show starts at 9 and goes till 3. There is free admission and parking as well.

There will be static planes new and old. There will be a full scale aerobatic show and hopefully we will get the f 18 in this year again. There will be raffles and a bbq all day.

The rc event which goes all day will include jets(heli, plane flown by our local guy Kent Nogy as well as others). Giant scale airplanes will be buzzing the sky(feature flyer for gs will be Zak West). And of course the heli"s which will include duet demos, flights to music and open freestyle. And much more!

If you are in for a day of action and excitment come check us out, we got around 3 to 4 thousand people through out the day last year. This year we hope to up that.
Any questions just post here.

I wish they were on diff weekends cause i really wanted to hit buzzin this year. But my home club gets me for that weekend.

Now if only i had a private jet, i could do both:)

Nothing against the Paso Robles folks, but yeah, not a tough decision from where I'm standing either. :)

Hey Carson,

If you have it between the 4th and 20th of November, I'm sure Luis and I could swing down for a day. We may be back there in November for our usual stuff.

I would! In fact I just talked to my Wife about it and she would come up for some wine tasting while I am flying with you all!

well i think the best time would be nov 15 enought time to get my 70%plank club to give me the field for the day(pres is for it already:)). how does that sound.

This is a side project for the next to weeks, right now its the airshow. Trying to get my music down, so far going well. Its going to be sweet.

That seems like a workable date! When should I start rallying?

Well, it looks like we will be at Ft Bliss, TX now, but our fallback plan is still Hunter-Ligget in Nov...maybe see ya guys.

Carson, You should make a post here. Paso Robles FF.

Also I think a theme like "bring the wives or girl friends". We can realease them in town for Wine tasting and shopping while we have a day of flying. Then they come back to get us, watch some night flying (trust me they will like to see that) and then we all go to dinner, etc. Should get dark early in November so would make for an earlier start for night flying.

Just an idea to get even more people to come.

I think you got the right idea there Finless! That's a good area for the wives to enjoy bumming around.

My wife would be all over some wine tasting. I can ditch the kids at my sister's for the weekend and just make it a quickie getaway for me and the wife.

WG, would you ship the hubby off to do the wine tasting while you fly?? eheheh
