OK so I got this new 6 channel PCM futaba receiver form ready heli and it is acting strange. A first I thought It was completely dead, so I started by switching out the crystal and making sure my Tx was in proper working order with the aid of a good PCM receiver. Then by accident with my antenna fully extended it started to work intermittently depending on the range form the receiver (all with in about 20 ft), but would not work close to it no matter how far the Tx antenna was extended.
I have yet to go outside and do a popper range check, and with the antenna extended or retracted. With the antenna extended two sections it did not work at all inside. Is this something I should be worried about? This has never happened with any of my other receivers and I'm nervous.

Post Script: This is a Trex 450 V2 SE w 65mg servos a FP 2170 battery stock motor and Speed controller, and a Gy-401 w/9650 . My Tx is an old 9chp
