Anyone notice if their Jesus bolt is bent on their 500/600 flybar head? I have not crashed and only had a few spool-ups (a couple at breakneck speed). My main blade bolts got bent in that time but I am replacing them with shank versions. I knew about the main blade bolt problem, but now the Jesus bolt???

Only bent the Bolt during a crash, but never in 'normal' flight...

If you so choose to put in a shanked one that is fine, do not however put in a hardened threaded bolt, it will snap in flight, don't ask me how I know that, lol.
I have never had a Jesus bolt on Logo bend in flight however, perhaps the main shaft you have has a slight bit of play on the hole and this is causing leverage room for bolt to bend? I beleive the 600 rex and Rappy 50 shanked Jesus bolt does fit however fwiw....

All cap scres on the logo are hardened??? The one on the head is black and threaded all the way.

No they are not and you do not want a hardened one for the jesus bolt, unless it is shanked, reason is the hold in main shaft commonly has abit of play, the hardened ones can snap, if they are shanked then those forces are spread out across the entire surface and no problems would then arise.

How do you determine if its hardened? All the caps screws are black, i thought that meant they were?

Well yes techically they are to a degree, there are different amounts of hardness, do not ask me any more than that as I am not a bolt genius, lol. I know most of the shanked jesus bolts by Align, TT and others are medium hardness at least this is what they tell me. I should re phrase teh jesus bolt statement, I would NOT get a Extra hard bolt there if I had the choice. I do agree a shanked bolt there is better and that has been submitted to Mikado for future revision.

Reason i ask is you say don't use hardened one and i just replaced mine with a black cap screw from my TT spares bag (its black and threaded the whole way).
All my bolts going through the main shaft were very difficult to get in. Surely even if there was free play in the shaft/bolt hole it wouldn't matter as its a tight fit on the plastic head block and the head is always spinning the same way so it would be constantly loaded up on one side of the bolt.

I picked up some replacement bolts, but the only one the hardware store had was stainless which I thought wasn't a problem...now I realize they are softer than the original.

Stainless should be harder than normal steel, try drilling it!
There is a multitude of different steel grades and hardness in stainless steel , Some hard some not so hard . Same with hardened bolts , a black cap screwbolt is normally a good indication it is a hardened bolt but not always .

Yes there are over 150 grades of stainless. I believe cheaper stainless steel is softer because of the nickel content.
