Hey JR users, what is the JR9X transmitter going to cost us in the US?

I love my 8103, but it is the plank version (I bought it before I decided to get into heli's all the way), so now I am flying only heil's and I want a Heli transmitter.

Anyway, can't wait to see one in person and play with it.

There is nothing different from what I am aware of, about the heli and plank versions of the 8103 except 2 swtich positions and the ratchet on the throttle. I bought the plank version and took the ratchet out of it. Great radio so far!

Yes, that is what I did was take the ratchet out, but I would like to have the stunt switches where the heli transmitter has them. It makes it a little easier to hit.

Have fun and stay safe.... these things will eat you !

I took a look at a 9X this last weekned, and it looks pretty sweet. To bad I already have a 10X. If I didn't, I would be buying a 9X from an overseas company. It can be had if you want it bad enough. Oh, and there is no word on any of the marketing for the 9X in the states. I am sure we will see it some day. But when is anybodys guess. Kind of like the new Vigor CS.

I spent some time with John Adams from Horizon Hobby this week - my first question was about the 9X (I have an 8103 with a full memory, along with a full back up 652!). John actually writes the manuals for JR radios in the US and told me he just finished it up. Looks like we're only a few months away from the US release!

As a note - the US models and overseas models will be different. Most changes are made in the sailplane software, but there are small changes all around.

LVRCFlyer,

Thanks for the info. I hope the radio will be as good as I am hearing it will be.

Did you get any idea of price? Their timing is going to be very good for me. I bought a 8103 airplane version last fall and I think I will be ready for a 9x by the fall of this year. I didn't know when I got back into RC that I would be heading in the helicopter direction, but it looks like all my interest will be in heli's.

So, a 9x heli transmitter is in my future !

Hey Pepper,

That sounds GREAT ! I look forward to getting one. Saving my pennies now !

I'm not sure we are ever going to get a chance to fly again..... rain and wind.... the next thing we will have is 100 degree temps ! Whew !
