Fellow freaks;
My Aurora is running great, however I feel it needs taming down a tad on the head.
I am no 3d pilot.
I set it up originally on normal head settings , ( not active ) with some raptor 60 flybar paddles.
Since breakin and carbsmart setting-up I have cranked the head speed up and have now got the rev limiter set up spot-on, ( ar7100r ). I then put on a set of v paddles.
I think it is too resposive for my skill level at present , ( just being honest ). I have already added 20% expo by the way. I was running no expo with the heavier paddles! Also I have dropped the cyclic to 50% from 60%

Do I;
Put the heavier flybars back on?
rivise my head settings to stable or super stable?
drop in a regulator to feed the 8717's at 6v?
Which is the correct way to go?

Thanks for any help.

To tam it down, you do just have to lower your swash elevator and swash aileron ratios (done on your transmitter!)... as a result the swash will move with a lower range...

No need to change the "hardware" setup...

I think I have found the set-up issue.

I noticed a slight bit of play between the shaft that the arms are fitted to and the arm that connects to the elevator servo links.

I will get rid of the play and see how we go.

I doubt that will tame it down at all. You should just limit your swash AFR's like mentioned in post #2 :thumbup:

To be clear guys,
My issue may not be down to the set-up.
The elevator arm had play around the shaft; thus when I moved the stick for elevator it did nothing untill I moved it more and then it moved a lot and then did the same when I put opposite corrective stick input in.
I think this had a lot to do with it, anyway I have new parts on the way and feel confident that I may not have to tame down, we will see.
Sorry, my post was not clear.
Thanks

Ok, that makes sense. I have a 450 where the whole swash is like that. Sometimes I break it out just for shits and giggles because it always makes for an interesting flight.

Cheers anyway.
