Hello all... Have been setting up my mikado 5003d for last two months. components are: Hacker A40 8l, cc 85 hv, fp 5000 mah 6s, rotortech 550's, hercules bec, jr 770, 9452's & 8900, mod .7 14 tooth pinion. Am running 83% on the 85hv with headspeed at about 2340, with + or - 12 degrees on cyclic.

Have sent it up twice now with the same results... Just at the end of the flight the helicopter has died and autoed to the ground, with the negative lead from motor to esc melted almost completely. obviously, i fixed it the first time, when the headspeed was actually lower. We thought maybe the hacker needed a higher % to operate more efficiently, but that bright idea brought the same results. I have already ordered the 13 tooth pinion, hopefully it will be that simple. If anyone has a similar setup with the Hacker, i would love your input!:noteworthy At any rate, ANY advice on cooling this sucker down would also be great!

I run that motor on same setup but with 13tooth and no issues at all, 14tooth is far to steep for 1300kv for certain.
