What happens if you hit TH with 20 or so feet of altitude. In windy conditions I've been landing in ID1 by hitting TH from a couple of inches and I always get the beginning of a piro. Controllable but not pretty. I can only imagine what happens with some altitude.

Essentially you'll have a piroetting rock

Well at least it's a small rock. I'm surprised at how durable this little beast is. I've only had one flying backwards turn confusion crash that only took out flybar and grip bolts. Plenty of grass landings with no tail damage at all.

Im pretty sure it'll stop piroing, as there is no reaction torque from the main rotor as it freewheels. You *should* be able to land it like an auto, assuming the blades keep spinning, but whether thats possible, or if your a good enough pilot to do it I dont know. I guess you might have to auto it sideways, as there is no rudder...

I know I accidentally hit TH at about 6 feet yesterday an tho it settled hard it wasnt that hard (Ive had worse normal landings...)

My tail blades snapped in mid-air while flying my trex 450 and it started to piro like crazy. I hit the TH and it stopped as it fell slowly to the ground .....

If your main shaft is tight in the one way bearing, expect it to piro clockwise. I had to chuck the main shaft in a dremel and sand the shaft down so that it would spin (somewhat) freely.
