Got home from a work trip and my LogicTech gyro and tail servo combination was here waiting for me! Hooked everything up, made a new gyro tray (number 3!) tucked the wires up, programmed the gyro and gave it at shot in the garage. (Windy outside today)

The gyro is a pain to program compared to the gy401, but only because I hadn't done it before and the instructions are not well translated from Korean.

This time, when I made up the gyro tray, I made sure it was parallel with the main gear and since the LogicTech gyro is so much smaller than my gy401, I was able to raise it up to give plenty of room to attach a AR6100e RX on the bottom of the tray and still have lots of room to mount the battery on the lower shelf. Seems to balance well like this too.

Once I got everything set, this setup rocks! Tail is locked in! Pitch pumps and no discernable tail movement, lightning fast piro rates and the tail stops like it hit a wall. Will finally be able to really get to know this little bird. :Bang:banana

I like it. May have to change my set up. How are you mounting the 6100E to the tray.
Glad your heli flies well. The little Gaui is a hoot, huh.

Ya, that looks good! I like your gyro/receiver placement

That's the same way I have mine. Balances well.

Hey GreenCello, I mounted the ar6100e to the underside of the gyro tray I made with double sided foam tape. Might throw a zip tie around it to make sure it stays put, but seems good for now. Switched from the ar6100 to get the servo wires to clear for the battery underneath. Cleaned things up a bit. I will try this for a while, but looks like it will be my final configuration after trying a few others. I really like the gy401 on my larger helis, but the LogicTech gyro with the 3100G tail servo seems to work for me on the Gaui.

Jetleaf, it does seem to balance well. Was a little worried with the slightly heavier tail servo and lighter gyro, but moving everything to the very front and the weight of the tray, ended up about right. Might still end up getting a tray from Rick. His is much higher quality than what I put together.

Hope it's calm in the morning so I can fly it outside and wring it out a bit!
