I'm placing my order for a Logo 500 3d tomarrow to replace my totaled Vibe50, here is my list. Let me know what you think.
Logo 500 3d flybar
Hacker a40 10l turbine
rotortech 550mm
k&b 92mm
15t pinion

Kit should come with the 0.7 mod gear right? I already have 9452s, 770/8900g, ar7000.
Not sure what esc to with. What do you guys think of the Scorpion 90amp? I need to keep wthin some kind of budget here. I plan on going with the Outrage packs 6s5000mah.

I don't know anything about the Scorpion esc, the rest looks good though man!

I know Bobby Smith is running a CC esc with that same setup, contact him for thoughts on that.

Haven't heard much about the scorpion ESC other than it works and comes with IR programmer with each one.

See if you can get Rotortech 560mm blades instead. The wider chord really gives it some pop on a flybar heli.

from what ive seen, some of the scorpion ESCs have very very high IR, so you have less power. worth spending a little more on a Kontronic 80-6-18, you wont look back!

Very good choice in motor though

Jazz is a great speed controller but make sure you do the heatsink mod if you live in a warmer area and start to get thermal shutdowns.

Not sure how warm GA is? If you are in real hot area, I would condsider the JIve 100LV or a 85HV Castle, the 80-6-18 could be on limits with that Hacker even with heatsink,,,, just a thought..... It might be perfectly fine but you have to be aware of heat...

Hi Hulley,

Looks good, but you don't need 92 mm tail blades on the 500 3D. The 85 mms perform great and give you a little extra clearance.

I was flying the 85s with a 770 3D and 8900g combo. My gain setting was 59% as read in my DX7. I don't think your 770 would like the 92 mms.

Keep 'em flying.

Ok, I didnt get to read any replies until now. I called Dave at esprit model and ordered a Logo500, hacker a40-10 turbine Castle HV85 w/link RT550mm (out of 560mm), K&B 92mm and a 16t pinion for the 0.7 mod gear. They shipped out today and according to FedX I'll have it tomarrow! :happyd
Shaun, it gets pretty hot here, does he HV85 handle the heat better?
Does anybody know if the Outrage 6s5000mah pack will fit and clear the pinion? Do I need to get different dampners or anything before I start my build? Man I'm EXCITED!!! :banana:banana:banana:banana

Hi, the outrage pack just fits with only a couple of MM gap (may hole drill in a crash?). The stock dampers are fine. I would however stuck with the 15T pinion that is enough, 16T will give you temp issues probably and over 2350RPM head speed

I got my Logo500 today! Man what a cool heli! This is gonna be a smooth build. I gotta go to the LHS to grab a couple of things tomarrow and I can continue on with the build. I cant believe I waited so long to go Logo. :arggg: :Bang

Great! The logo 500 is over 500Grams lighter than my E550 with identical setup.

Its only the beginning, next logo 600 LOL :)

Whats the difference between a Hacker a40 10L, hacker a40 10L 8 pole, and a hacker A40 10L Electric Turbine? There is also a A40 L series 8 pole, what does 8 pole mean?

THanks

1100KV cooler running not so harsh but good power, 1300KV hotter running a bit harsher on packs but slightly more holding power, 1100KV ET runs very cool and is meant to be most powerfull.
The first 2 are rated for 1100W the ET is 2000W
