My stock Belt-CP comes with 11.1v Lipo and I've been flying it with 11.1v 3s1p Lipo packs all these while. But now I want to get longer flight time by going for higher "mah" Lipo. Do I have to stick with 11.1v? Why is there different in V when some Lipo have the same 3s1p? Can I just jump to different V without changing any electric equipment on my heli?

OK, if you go to a higher Mah pack, for longer flight times, keep in mind that the higher the capacity in Mah, the bigger & heaver the pack becomes.

ALL Lithium Polymer a.k.a. LiPo are 3.7volts per cell nominal and 4.2volts per cell fully charged.
Therefore...

3s1p = 3 cells @ 3.7v each = 11.1v total nominal and 12.6v fully charged up.

IF you go to a 4s1p pack you'll be running 14.8v nominal and 16.8v fully charged, so you better make sure your power system can handle the extra voltage, meaning you might need a BEC (battery eliminator circuit). PLUS you will have to change the pinion on your motor, providing your motor can handle the extra voltage. You'll get CRAZY headspeeds if you don't change the pinion size to a lower tooth count!

For a stock Belt-CP, just stick to a 3s1p 11.1v pack and read up on what people are running for a decent Mah pack for power to weight ratio's.

Hope that helps!

Rick.

I though of the weight issue too, but I'm gonna give it a try to verity things myself. Now I understand how they got the different in V for different Lipo. And it should match with the Motor, ESC and BEC that I have. Thank you very much for the help, I guess I'm gonna stick with 3s in the mean time.
