Includes swashplate and guide. I should have picked this up when I broke my swashplate.

You weren't supposed to advertise this as I wanted them all for myself!!!

Yeah, I'm trying to get some cash together to grab one of these while I can for sure...

Wonder how the CNC Helicopter version at DirectHeli Heli compares? It's a little cheaper.

The Gaui metal head is the nicest I've seen yet. IMO it pretty much blows Align out of the water. The tail grips were a let down but I'm willing to let that one go.

The CNCheli/HDX parts are well machined but not quite up to the level of the Gaui head.

I recommend the GAUI CNC head. (Almost) no play, good quality, strong.

I'll 3rd that.....I have one on both my Z20 plastic and the Z30 Cf....they work and look great....very little play compared to the all plastic head...

I crashed while inverted and they are plenty strong. The arms tweaked a little and just tweaked them back. But for $209 you get all of it in metal, I am still using some of the plastic tiller arms.

Sorry about the post Drew :(

Get this too http://www.helidirect.com/product_info.php?cPath=30_321_322&products_id=5877 The only weak point in the head is the plastic seesaw. Some have had the screws pull out of the plastic one.

Will this CNC Seesaw assembly work with the Gaui Flybar control setup or do you have to use the CNC version of that too? In other words do I need to buy this whole assembly to work with the Gaui head?

I don't want to be buying redundant and duplicate CNC parts if you know what I mean!

Thanks!

Dozers got the metal Gaui head. Looks to be used on a stock Gaui head in the pics at helidirect. and the reviews seem to represent that as well.

[edit] actually it is pictured using the upper hdx arms but that ratio is the same.

Cool, what I needed to know...

So what is it you REALLY need on the Gaui head to be CNC; it all 'looks' cool and I know it performs better, etc, etc; but what 'necessary' to make her fly successfully without concern for a ball and self-tapping screw popping loose from the PLASTIC in flight?

Mixing Arms
Seesaw
Washout Levers
Flybar Control ??

Nice things to have:

Blade Grips
Main Mast - Rotor Yoke
Washout Base

Just curious, I'd LIKE to get the hole head but I need the Seesaw now so might as well grab one and work up to the biggie...

grab the see saw and then later buy the upgrade kit (wne on sale) and you get the yoke, blade grips, light paddles, etc, has seen it for $59.95...on sale....that is mostly what you would need.

If you buy the whole cnc head...I believe it still comes with the plastic see saw...

I just bought the CNC seesaw and I'm thinking I'll likely get the CNC brand head when monies become available. Nice to have the Gaui unit but not cheap in comparison; but if I can get my act together before A Main Hobbies runs out... ;)

I had to move my ball links inboard on my plastic seesaw after my most recent crunch, and it's now too docile that it's hard to control. All the way out and it's too twictchy; pretty amazing how that LITTLE bit of placement on these ball links has that dramatic effect on the flight characteristics, wow.

I also ordered some E-Flite 520 Woodie blades to give a try, same price so why not? And I have some 550 Woodies on the way too. Should be interesting, we'll see how they do for me.

CA a round toothpick into the stripped out hole....redrill.....re CA and put the screw back in the middle hole.....either that or fill the hole with baking powder.....and hit it with thin ca...poof...it's hard as a rock and ready to be redrilled....

Yeah, I've thought about 'patching it up' but I just can't bring myself to have my GAUI up flying with my hack wanntabe Helicoil job only for that $0.02 piece to come flying out of a $3.99 part destroying the helo in the process; eeks! I do this on body work and uncritical stuff all the time but on the head, well I'm not that brave I guess... ;)

But thanks for the suggestion, I'll patch up the seesaw and have it on standby as a spare.

Happy Flying!

The only thing I have updated is the cnc head, cnc head stop, cnc grips, cnc flybar cage. All the rest are still plastic, over 300 flights with 10 crashes and all is still good . This is really the base minimum. I may not even notice any flight difference between a metal seesaw and metal mixing arms.
