View Full Version : Help -- Cyclic Too Slow!

Hi All,

Maybe you have an easy solution to this Logo 500 3D issue. The links going to the flybar are hitting the grips/headblock. These are the special “bent” ball links that wrap around the grips/headblock. I had dialed my aileron and elevator up to 65%, not realizing that they were hitting. Now that I’ve noticed it, I’ve had to turn my cyclic down to 60% -- which is too slow.

What should I adjust to eliminate the contact between the bent links and the grips/headblock? If I extend those links, I believe the washout arms will simply move down. Right now the washout arms are perfectly level at 0 degrees pitch.

Thanks for the help!:YeaBaby:

Did you cut the little support bar out leaving only the 45 deg. link? I'm at about 80% with no contact to the grips.

Hi ZGuy,

No, I still have the support bar. I'm a bit nervous about removing those. I would think that they put them there for a reason. But 80%? That would be great.

I'd rather lengthen the links if that would help. But I'll consider removing the support bars if a lot of guys have had success.

Thanks for the tip.:YeaBaby:

get rid of them. it says it in the instructions. i think they are there to stop the mold twisting as it cools when it is made, i assume

They are only there from the molding process and are designed to be cut off. You will not get the range if you keep them on. Once off you should be able to dial the settings up in the swash menu and get no binding with +/-8 or more on cyclic to make it quite fast. A combination of 2300+ HS, +/-13 pitch and around +/-8.5 will give you insane cyclic response. My Logo is as responsive as my T450 - which flips/rolls on a dime.

Do yourself a favor and order some extra ones. I have replaced mine twice due to wear in the link but they have not shown any sign of stress in the bend.

Hi All,

Awesome. I missed that in the instructions. That will really help me get her dialed in. I just got my Spartan gyro dialed in this morning with some extra throw. With my cyclic back to 65%, I'm going to be a happy camper.

Thanks guys. It seems that whatever issue I run into, someone always seems to have the answer. Long live the forums...

Keep 'em flying.:YeaBaby:

PS Good idea in ordering extra links. I noticed a slight amount of play in one of them. I'll pick up some balls and links. Thanks again!
