There seems to be a lot of 10s motors for the Logo 600, but I'm in need of a 12s motor. So I'm looking for some recommendations. I have a bunch of Evo 3700 6s packs sitting here that I need to use. I'll be picking up a Castle 85Hv. I'm looking for a head speed of 2200 on 600 blades.

Actro 32-3 is perfectly fine on 12S. ;)

I wonder how much better it could be on 12S? :)

Not looking for more power, just a longer run time since my packs are only 3700mah. When I use these up, then I'll invest in larger packs.

I'm just curious myself if it would be better on 12S.

Not really better, just pull less amps and produce same power. That's just the voltage advantage in play is all.

There must be some performance benifit, no 6S machine will go as hard as 10S machine.

There must be some performance benifit, no 6S machine will go as hard as 10S machine.

A 6S machine can produce as many watts as a 10S machine, no problem, but the difference is that it will have 166% the current than the 10S machine, so you will loose efficiency because you generate more heat and create more resistance.

Yeh i realise that, i am an electrician by trade, but the statement is still true, no 6S machine will go as hard as a 10S machine.

Well I have personally tried 12S on the Logos and a few other machines, I have not seen or felt there was a benift imho. I am not an electrician by trade, I work by reality and reality showed me there was no benift. Yes 6S to 10S would be a big jump, thats a 4 cell count.... now more importantly than voltage alone is what you put with it, meaning what motor esc, that makes the largest difference. I have had several 6S systems for example in Logo 500s that outperform 8S setups in same heli etc....

Thanks Shawn, it sounds like 10S is fine for 50 size machine, only 12 or 15S for 90 size or strech.

Yes pretty much, it comes down to disc load.

What about a Tango 45-06 for 12S? Does it have a longer run time than the Actro?

No idea, never tried a 45-06 and will not comment further as I have no clue on that motor with 12S....

I'm running a tango 45-07 right now on 10s. I have thought about the 06, just wasn't sure. There has to be more options. What about orbit or the scorpion serious. Any of the Z motors.
