I'm in the building process and I'm wondering if anyone has mounted a CY ATG sensor on their machine yet?? The ATG (50 sized) mount has a set of holes on the lower section that should work with the provided stand-off (would obviously need to be cut off at the top), but it lacks the small angle that moves the sensor aft a couple of mm to line up dead center with the clutch bell. I'm thinking a second piece of mount sandwiched on top of the existing piece may move the sensor out over the bell far enough to compensate.

Long term plan is to get a Spektrum backplate sensor (assuming they will work with the ATG), but until those become available, I need a good solution for the standard sensor.

Any thoughts???

You are going to have to file the holes in the frame to get the sensor to line up! Not hard to do! Before I got the AR7100 I was going to use the ATG. Use the Align mount that comes in the kit but file the holes in the frame to get it to line up!

Thanks Bob...

I actually ended up using the smaller of the two ATG mounts and cut it down to fit. Mounted it to the Align stand off and then mounted the sensor so that when installed in the frame it sits between the frame and the mount. Folded the sensor under the end, toward the center of the frame and all is well.

This is still a temp solution, now I just need to find a Spektrum backplate sensor somewhere and I'll be golden (anybody got one they're NOT using...riiiiiight :arggg: )

Or use the align sensor on the ATG, just flip red and black and you are set

Humm, are we sure that the Spektrum sensor will work? The Align/Futaba/Eagletree sensors are Hall effect sensors that use a passing magnet to generate a signal. The Spektrum sensor must be an eddy current (proximity) sensor (just guessing) which is triggered by the end of the steel crank coming around behind the backplate. I wouldn't want to guarantee that they're interchangeable but maybe someone has already confirmed this?

Yes I can tell you the Spektrum sensor will work on the ATG, Throttle Jockey, etc. The end output signal from the spektrum sensor is the same as a sensor that uses a magnet. BTW the electronics in the AR7100 for the gov my understanding is the same as a Model Avionics TJ Rev limiter.

I am successfully using the Spektrum backplate sensor with the ATG in gov mode on my 700.

I couldn't pass up using the sensor/mount that came with the kit. It's really nice to not have to build a sensor mount for once! I had an extra servo extension laying around to sacrifice. I used the male end to mod the Align sensor lead to work multigov/TJ..used the female end to mod the Align connector to work any other sensor. Now I can get around to comparing the Align/TJ/Multigovs all with the stock Align sensor/mount that came with the kit.

is this the same for the ar7100r.
