Is this a good deal for this radio?

If I pickup a Spectrum computer Tx (not a 2.4) do i need to get a spectrum Rx too, or will the stock Esky Rx work? Assuming I match up the crystals.

Sounds like a good deal other than he has added the springs to the throttle which you would need to remove.

With regards to the rx spektrum only do 2.4 kit as far as i am aware! So you would need the 2.4G rx to go with this tx.

Yep, that's a 2.4 GHz transmitter.

I haven't seen a DX6 since the DX6i came out, so I can't remember what was my reason for avoiding it... Might have been limited range since it's a parkflyer system, and if it only talks DSM you can't use any of the later DSM2 receivers with it. That would mean you're stuck with AR6000s. Oh, and it only does three-point throttle curves...

I probably wouldn't bother with it - you'll just have $65 more to save up for the inevitable DX7 ;)

I wouldn't bother, from what Mika says about it not being DSM2. That means AR6000s are your only options and they dont have a super fast reboot system. If you had a brownout your reciever wouldn't reboot in time. The new ones reboot in milli seconds. Mika also mentioned that it has a 'parkflyer' system which is also bad... You don't want to be flying whilst minding yor own business to then find out that you heli has dirfted off into outer space because the servos and ESC didn't know what to do when you went out of signal.

Also, I don't know why, but he has added springs to the throttle which makes the thorttle stick move like the cyclic stick which springs to the middle.

Save I little bit more and get a DX6I well worth the money.

Yea jack I to have looked at a couple of dx6 deals with the rx included for about 85 to 100 bucks. They've really tempted me but i keep going back to the dx6i. I have posed this question before on here and there is a description of the two in this post:

Thanks guys, I think I'm gonna pass on the 6. I really don't need a computer Tx (yet), I just saw this one and thought it might be a good deal, but no sense buying something that really wouldn't give me what I would want when I do go with a new Tx.
