I know that Curtis started a similar thread but I just wanted to make sure my starter will be enough to start my YS91. I'm currently using a ThunderTiger 12V Deluxe Hi-Torque starter with a 12V 7ah battery, is this going to be enough to start my YS91 engine?

I using the same starter but with two 9,6V packages. That turns my "old" C-spec with no problem. But not with my new one. So I bought a Dynatron instead with 24V :D

I use a dynatron on 14 volts. It starts my ys 91 fine but if the motor is flooded forget it and just take the plug out.

I have 4 YS91's and 1 OS91Cspec PS, I had to go to a dynatron on two SCR2400 7 cell packs to start 2 of the YS's. I can easily start all the others on two 6 cell 3300nimH packs or 12v 7A gel cell... What you need to start your engine will deffinitely depend on your engine :D If your YS is any bit rich or new I dont believe your starter setup will kick it over.

It's a beautifull hobby, but you'll need deep pockets to keep this hobby going.

Just wait you have not seen anything yetYou right, that's why I stopped keeping track of my expenses right after crossing the 25 hundred.
Anyways, this is a great hobby and I love it.
