As the title states, even with my Spartan 760 I do not find the tail locked, yes I am demanding, lol.. I see there is a 15/10 SD ratio pinion, I may get this....

Just curious if anyone else is runnig the Zpower 5150kv motor on 2S with SD and also running the 15/10 and if that 10% hike in Headspeed needs any concern on this little heli??

Thx for your time.

I have a SD with he 15/10 but with the stock motor. I would challenge anyone to get the tail to kick, wag or bounce-back without cheating

I am running that setup on my SD bird with the Logictech. Tail is locked solid. Will piro like the Rave and stops like it hit a block of lead.

Jet you are running the 5150kv Zpower as well?

Make sure everything is balanced and tight. These things are great.

Jet, I would love to see that.

Could you please shoot a video to show us all? :cheers

Peter I don't own any kind of video recording camera. It'll come back to haunt you.

It's strange but my Logictech with 3100 servo on 5150 motor and 9/15T seems to be tooooo soft and does not hold well on backward fly :(

Well I will report back tomorrow once I gave the 15/10 a try, yes mine on 15/9 would not hold either on back flight, so hopefully this 10% more tr speed will do the trick.

I just installed it with the Z5150 and the tail held great.
The only problem was some of my batteries sucked so when I installed a new Outrage 25C battery I had to lower the gain on my gyro. The Outrage just made it a meaner Hurricane, so every time I change batteries I need to up or lower the gain.

Sorry been gone for abit, yes the 15/10 ratio is MUCH better imho. The tail on this heli really is not the best, even with best gyro and setup it stil does some funky things when you push it, none the less though for a little crapper it is a fun little heli even so, not a big deal. Its not like its a 3D or FAI practice machine for me anyways, lol. :D

Agreed, the tail could be a bit more robust and slop free. I am discovering that the tail shaft doesn't like a lot of power. The mere act of switching into idleup2 (100%) from idleup 1 (75%) will bend the tail shaft 10 - 15 degrees. And this is with the heli sitting on the ground. A closer tolerance on the tailshaft to bearing i.d. clearance might help.
