So I just got my vbar yesterday and put it into my Trex 500 last night and I'm having a problem...

I first got it setup so that my transmitter inputs all show the correct directions in the "live" menu in the vbar software. Then I had to reverse one of the servos to make the collective inputs look right on the swashplate.

All my inputs are making the swash go in the right direction EXCEPT for elevator inputs.... if i give down elevator, it tilts the swash forward, and vise-versa. I cant figure out how to reverse this without reversing the elevator channel in my radio, which of course then makes the transmitter inputs show the wrong direction in the vbar "live" menu.

Anyone know how to fix this? I'm using the latest software which is probably making this harder because the vbar manual is out of date and the setup vids on helifreak are out of date :-\

Summed up: I need to reverse elevator inputs on the swashplate, without reversing the elevator channel in my radio... how do I do this?

Thanks

EDIT: Do I NEED the swash to move in opposite directions from normal? I'm setup for leading edge control, direct from swash. No mixing arms.

Ok so I went to the vstabi forum and found this thread:

http://www.vstabi.de/forum1/read.php?9,11333

In which, someone states that elevator UP on the vbar live menu actually means NOSE UP on the heli... is this true?

So to confirm, if I give DOWN elevator input on my radio, the vbar live screen should show "Elevator UP" ??

If so, all I need to do is reverse my elevator channel in the radio and I'll be done.

In the live menu where states aileron and elevator it is talking about the attitude of your bird as a whole, not the specific servos. This is confusing because elevator is both a flight vector and a servo. In this case they are talking what your bird will do (not the servo) when you make a stick movement.

On the LIVE menu when it states up or down elevator it is referring to the movement of the heli and NOT to any one servo in particular.

This confused me as well at first and could be explained better on screen. They do show a picture of a heli with some arrows but that is pretty understated IMHO.

Up elevator means back on your cyclic stick.
