Skunky you are a trip!

That seems like a pretty awesome indoor winter toy.

Us Northerners have the learn how to have fun indoors certain months

The 500 doesn't fair so well indoors, OUCH!

Oh, yeah, that's cool... I just unloaded my CX2, not airworthy, with a pile of parts and the transmitter. Guy who bought it should dump all that crap and buy the BnF version of this thing.

So, anybody seen a parts list yet?

Specifically, are the blades easy to find, how much for a 2nd battery, and how about that "5-in-1" includes the two servos (!).

I wonder if I can hook that battery up to my Cellpro 4. Doesn't need a balancer (1 cell)... :-)

This looks like fun... I can't wait to haul in one of these into work, and my DX7, which is itself probably bigger than the heli.

Cool move, e-Flight, hope they hold up OK.

Hey thats pretty cool. Some time in September? I like that and dsm2 transmitter can be used.

I just saw it on eflight's website!!! Wish I had that as my 1st heli instead of the airhogs replica I had. Up/down and pirouettes only.... how dumb! LOL

I really like the thing but I hope the blades and stuff hold up. I was kind of hoping for a 400 size CX, rebuilding CPs is getting to be a real pain. I can literally put a cx2 together with my eyes closed except I'd need a pet monkey to put those tiny screws in.:banana

He makes it look like you can bind the heli to any DSM2 radio instantly with no radio set up. Is this actually possible or is it a little deceptive? I've never owned a DX6i, is it actually able to load the needed settings from the heli without any set up?
Respectfully,
Ed

I think it is a bit deceptive. Especially for a coax I would assume some setup and trim would be needed.

Thanks for the tip! I just pre-ordered the Bind-N-Fly version.

Do you know what the price will be as of yet? I'm going to order one also just to keep on my desk at work.

It looks like the original cost may be $129. I paid $99 for what seemed to be a pre-order promotion.

Can order via SkunkyMagoos link to the horizonhobby.com link in the begining of the thread.

Looks to ship sometime in September.

I'm guessing you'd have to setup the radio, however, I assume that E-flite includes a setup sheet with all the necessary settings for the transmitter....

it will probably also just be airplane programming like the cx2 is which is much easier than heli programming

i'm pretty excited about this, seems like a fun toy to mess with in the house. the night kit also looks really cool, turn on the lights and buzz the kitchen table

Looks really neat, I also notice that it said it was compatible with the DX5e ??? horizon lists 3 planes with this radio, but no photos. Could be neat for plank fliers.
EDIT: found photos on horizon's site, under multimedia for those 3 planes, looks like a dx6i minus a few switches. Nothing to see here, move along...

Radio programming on the CX heli is easy as pie, you can use either airplane mode OR heli Mode single servo swash. BnF on their other products has so far been a cinch.

I am hoping the MCX will help me with my forward flight and nose in skills.
