I have found that although the stock Align canopy mounting system holds the canopy VERY WELL it does cause damage to the canopy after repeated use.
To solve this problem.........JG's 700 Nitro Canopy Mounts
Made from 6061-T6 aluminum and weighing 2.8 grams per stanoff and thumbscrew (11.2 grams/4pcs)
this system uses the stock canopy grommets and stock plastic spacer and makes taking the canopy on and off a breeze.
Product will be introduced at IRCHA 2008 with a price yet to be determined.

yes but Jeff's mounts smoke MA, I have seen them in person and I am extremely impressed which seems to be the trend with his products.

curious how one piece of threaded AL can smoke another? it's not like MA isn't know for great quality. I only offered the suggestion because its available right now off the self from just about any descent online shop...not trying to rain on anyones parade.

its nothing against MA or pieces of aluminum, I just support RC Booya mounts that's all =)

A must and worth $25. I got tired of hunting for my canopy clips. The thumb screws stay in the canopy grommets so they don't get misplaced. Very nice mod.
One complaint however. The only way to remove the stand off posts is to use a pair of pliers. This mars up the beautiful finish of the post. I wish the posts had a perpendicular hole drilled through them so they could be removed using a small screw driver rather than a pair of pliers.

I don't use the clips, the rubbers are tight enough (for now)

I believe that DesertFlyer was describing the need for holes in the stand-off posts themselves for inserting an Allen wrench or other tool during removal from the frame.

Had trouble with my thumb screws coming loose. Two came completely out once. Switched to a nylon thumb screw I found at Home Depot 6x32x1/2. Works perfect and doesn't come loose.

Got mine for the 600 and 700... Will be doing a video review! These things rock and in my opinion a must have especially for the 700.
DesertFlyer, I have not flown mine yet with these but using the stock grommets on the 700 canopy I don't see how they could come loose if you tighten them up well against the grommets?
