RCE-600 + DS520 Gyro/Servo Combo

Does anyone have any experience with this Gyro or Gyro/Servo Combo? Thanks.

I have tried it. Could not get it to work on my Trex 450 or my Protos. It looked like the gyro was being effected by electrical noise and just wagged all over the place no matter what the settings were. Put my trusty 401 back on with the DS520 servo and the tail was perfect again.

I was about to send it back and tell the supplier where they could place this piece of cr@p but thought I would try one more combo. This time I put it on my Hurricaine but paired it with a Futaba 9257. All I can say is wow!! Tail was rock solid, no drift and I could run 90% without any tail ocillation. Fast forward flight did not induce any wag and backwards flight tracked perfectly.

I am not sure if the servo was the answer or if the Hurricaine has less electrical noise then the other 2 but the gyro is now a keeper. I will give the DS520 a go on the Hurricaine to try and isolate what fixed the issue. My money is on electrical noise but I will test fly again tomorrow.

What do you think of the DS520?? wouldn't also be using the DS510's by chance??. Trying to find out if anyone is using the 510's on cyclic and if so how they are going.

Sorry, I havent tried the 510 servo but the 520 is a sold performer so I would presume the 510 would have similar performance.

I have the DS510s on my 500 - works great.
